Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Can you get me to top of Google?
"Getting to the top of Google" isn't as simple as it sounds, and it's a common misconception that all that needs to be done is to do that is to introduce all the phrases and words that you want people to find you using in the "meta tags" of a website. The reality is that doing this probably won't help your website at all.
At IA Computing we can perform Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) on your website to improve the volume and quality of visitors. We can't guarantee to get you to the top of Google, and anyone who tells you they can is lying, but we sure can give it a good go.
The SEO we provide involves many different processes to improve your website's visibility on popular search engines in order to get more visitors. In order to do this, a website must be based around a small number of keywords or phrases that are relevant to your business and the content on the site but are also popular search terms.
There are two methods of SEO - Organic and Pay per Click (PPC). We can provide one or both of these services for your business. We can also create a Google Places location for your business, helping you find local customers. These are shown in more detail in the image below.
Organic Listings SEO
Organic listings are achieved by submitting your site to Google and then waiting for the Google Robot to "crawl" your website to discern its subject matter and return to your website regularly to see if anything has changed. Every time the robot visits your site it will analyse numerous things such as:
- The title of each page
- The content of each page
- The URL of each page
- The Headers of each page
- The number and quality of links to your website
From this Google will work out how relevant your website is for what it deems are your keywords using its algorithms, and place you accordingly amongst your competition.
Pay-Per-Click (PPC)
Pay-Per-Click listings can be found on the top and right hand sides in Google search results. The adverts are Pay-Per-Click (PPC) which means that you only pay when someone clicks on your advert.
You can choose the search terms that your potential customers are likely to use, and your advert will only show when someone uses these terms. The adverts can be managed completely, such as being able to control how much you want to spend on advertising per day and when you want to advertise.
The advantage of PPC is that, as long as you set your payment limit at the right amount, you site appears at the top of Google search results instantly.
Google Places
In the past year Google Places has become much more prominent on Google search results as can be seen in the image above. Google Places gives you a "Place Page", displaying information about your business outside of your website such as:
- Public Transport
- Reviews from public
- Photos
- YouTube videos
- Addition to Google Maps
- Address
- Phone Number
- Website Link
- Directions
- Category
- Opening Hours
We can also provide advice and integration for email marketing, advert rotation and advertisement tracking. We can also speed up slow loading websites, thus increasing the amount and quality of time your vistors spend on your website and improving your search engine ranking with Google.
Our Advertisement Tracking allows you to track which advertisement or email link your visitors clicked that linked to your web site, thus allowing you to monitor and manage your marketing budget more effectively.
